POLICE RECOVERS OVER 100 RUSTLED LIVESTOCK, ARREST BANDIT INFORMANTS IN KATSINA
The Katsina Police Command has arrested two persons alleged to have been feeding information to bandits.
The police also recovered over 100 rustled livestock from bandits who attacked Tamo village, Kurfi Local Government Area today.
The arrested suspects, Bilyaminu Ma’aruf, 35, from Kadangaru Quarters, and Sani Umaru, 40, from Gammo village, of Dutsinma LGA of Katsina, were apprehended on Wednesday, November 11 at about 2 pm

The suspects confessed to the have masterminded the kidnappings of many residents in Dutsinma local government area, including 20-year-old lady identified as Amina Usman, and another 22-year-old Amina Shu’aibu.
Police said the suspects confessed that they received 20,000 out of N 900,000 paid for Amina Usman’s ransom.
Meanwhile, at about 1 pm today, the Katsina police engaged bandits who attacked Tamo Village in Kurfi local government area.
Report says, the police, having blocked the Tsaskiya cattle route, Safana LGA of Katsina state, ambushed the bandits and recovered 102 goats, 8 sheep, and 2 cows.
Police revealed that search parties are combing the area to arrest or recover the bodies of the bandits.
