GOVERNOR OKOWA AND HIS WIFE TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and his wife have tested positive for COVID-19.
The Governor made this known in a tweet on Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
“My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well and continuing with our isolation/medication. We thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our daughter,” he tweeted.
Eons Intelligence, on June 26, reported that the Governor’s Daughter had tested positive for the virus, which prompted the family to go on an immediate 14 days isolation.

Olisa Ifeajika, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, revealed that the Governor and his wife are stable and have commenced treatment while in isolation.
Governor Okowa thanked residents of the State for their prayers for his family and called for continued supplications for all patients undergoing treatment for the virus.
According to the NCDC, on June 30th, 2020, Delta State has recorded 965 cases of COVID-19, made 190 discharges and 23 deaths.
