Acting on intelligence, the troops responded to reports of criminal activities near the Youth Centre at Sabon Layi Axis at approximately 4:50 p.m. Upon arrival, they encountered a cattle rustling syndicate in possession of 30 stolen cows. A gunfight ensued, forcing the criminals to flee.

During the operation, the troops arrested 29-year-old Nashak Wilson from Jwakkom Village, who was armed with an AK-47 rifle loaded with two rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition. Further search efforts led to the successful recovery of all 30 rustled cows.
