ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY: EONS INTELLIGENCE CELEBRATES FALLEN HEROES

As Nigeria commemorates the Armed Forces Remembrance Day on January 15, Eons Intelligence has decided to celebrate some of the fallen heroes in the Nigerian Army.


LATE LT. COL. ABU ALI




The late Lt Col Abu Ali was killed by Boko Haram terrorists on November 4, 2016. He was buried at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja.

The gallant soldier was promoted through the ranks to Lieutenant Colonel after leading other valiant troops to claim the town of Baga from Boko Haram terrorists. His bravery is greatly missed and his heroic feats would not be forgotten.



LATE CAPTAIN KENNETH ONUBAH



Captain Kenneth Onubah paid the supreme price while fighting for Nigeria in May 2014. He was from Ifite-Oraifite in Anambra State. Onubah was buried with his late colleagues. He was a brave fighter who was always ready to lay down his life for this nation. He is gone but never forgotten.


 LATE LT. SHITU KUOM LEO



He lost his life in a battle with Boko Haram terrorists 2014. The late Leo was set to marry on the 20th of August, 2014 in Kaduna, his state of origin. Reportedly a former student of ECWA Staff School in Jos, Plateau State, he left the Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria when he was a 2nd-year student of history to attend the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA). Nigeria is forever indebted to this brave, gallant, fighter and warrior. He is forever in our thoughts.


 LATE LANCE CORPORAL DAVID USMAN 



Lance Corporal David Usman paid the supreme price for his life as he was killed on the 18th of May, 2013 by Boko Haram at the Nigeria-Chad border. He will be sorely missed for his heroics and bravery in the battlefield.


MAJOR SAMUEL JEGA KANADY DALAKY



The late Major Dalaky was killed by Boko Haram terrorists in April 2013 in Yobe State. Popularly known as Major Dalaky amongst his friends and colleagues, he hailed from Gombe State. An old boy of the Nigerian Military School, NMS, Zaria, he was a member of the 50th Regular Course at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna State. He was survived by two children and his wife. He would be greatly missed for his unflinching devotion to Nigeria and for laying his life on the line.


COLONEL KABIRU SALISU



The late Colonel Kabiru was killed in a battle with Boko Haram terrorists on the 7th of April 2014 when his armored personnel carrier (APC) was attacked. His heroic feats would not be forgotten and no amount of tribute can describe how gallant he was.



LIEUTENANT ODUSHINA OLUWAFEMI



He paid the supreme price of his life on Tuesday, the 13th of May, 2014 in a battle with Boko Haram terrorists in Chibok where they had gone to search for and rescue the abducted school girls. He was a valiant soldier who fought for this nation through thick and thin. He did all he could to protect Nigerians and he would be sorely missed.


CAPTAIN BENJAMIN TOYIRING SULE



He was killed by Boko Haram terrorists on the 4th of August, 2014 while on duty in Bama, Borno state. He married his bride in November 2013 and was posted to Borno in May 2014. Sule is survived by his parents, siblings, and his wife. He was a quintessential warrior whose legacies would forever remain in our hearts 


CORPORAL DUKE EBOSELE



Ebosele paid the supreme price for his life while fighting Boko Haram terrorists on Sunday, 3rd of August 2014. He would be greatly missed for displaying bravery, commitment, passion, and for his heroics.


CAPTAIN AYO OLORUNTOBA



Captain Oloruntoba was killed by Boko Haram terrorists in December 2014, in Adamawa State. Oloruntoba was a valiant soldier. His legacies are priceless. He would be sorely missed.
