ADAMAWA: INEC SETS MARCH 29 FOR ADAMAWA RERUN ELECTION
Following the inconclusive outcome of the just conducted gubernatorial election in Adamawa State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled March 29, 2023, for the rerun of the election.
On Monday INEC declared the March 18 governorship elections inconclusive after a conclusion could not be reached as a result of disputes between the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) parties.
Aishatu Dahiru of the All Progressive People (APC) received 390,275 votes while Ahmed Fintiri, the incumbent governor of the state and member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) received 421,524 votes.
