HOODLUMS SET POLICE STATION ABLAZE IN BENDE LGA OF ABIA STATE
Hoodlums suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have set the Ubani Market Police Station ablaze.
Eons Intelligence gathered that the assailants invaded the Police facility located at Bende LGA of Abia State in the early hours of Sunday May 9.
However, there were no fatalities recorded from the incident as security operatives had vacated the facility days before the attack was launched.
Sources say the policemen working at the station were transferred to a station near TradeMoore housing Estate.
There have been unprecedented attacks on police formations, checkpoints, and correctional facilities in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria recently. It is pertinent for authorities to investigate the root cause of these attacks and arrest the perpetrators of these nefarious activities.
On Friday, Eons Intelligence reported that gunmen launched deadly attacks on Nnobi, Nneokwa and Ichida police stations in Anambra.
Also, on Thursday May 6, hoodlums attacked two police stations in Idemili North LGA of Anambra, killing two Police Inspectors and setting the facilities ablaze in the process.
