AIRSTRIKE CLAIMS 46 LIVES IN SUDAN ATTACK
At least 46 lives were lost and scores injured during an airstrike at Khartoum market, Sudan on Sunday 10 September 2023.
The information available indicates that at about 0715hrs on 10th September 2023 military jets unleashed a barrage of attacks on the Khartoum market area.
This tragic incident marks one of the deadliest assaults in Sudan's nearly five-month-long conflict.
Approximately a week earlier, on September 2, another airstrike in southern Khartoum claimed the lives of 20 individuals.
Additionally, a separate air strike targeted a residential area in Omdurman, the sister city of Khartoum, claiming the lives of nearly two dozen people.
In response to the escalating casualties, the hospital issued an urgent appeal for medical experts in the vicinity to come forward and provide assistance in treating the growing number of injured individuals arriving for care.
