COURT REMAND LADY FOR ASSAULTING POLICE OFFICER IN LAGOS
A Magistrate Court sitting in Eti-Osa, Lagos State, presided by Magistrate M.O. Alao on 17th May 2023 remanded a lady, identified as Olufunmilayo Brioluwa into Kirikiri Correctional Centre for assaulting a police officer.
The information available indicates that the lady allegedly assaulted and held on to an officer's uniform during a stop and search on 14th May 2023 around Ogombo area of Lagos State.
Consequently, the defendant pleaded not guilty to her charges.
Meanwhile, the Magistrate granted the plea of the prosecutor to remand her for 21 days pending investigation and adjourned to June 6, 2023.
