MOTHER OF FIVE ACCUSES POLICE OF KILLING HUSBAND IN RIVERS
Mrs Victory Samuel, a Port Harcourt resident and mother of five children has accused the Police in Rivers State of killing her husband, the late Mr Ajayi Samuel.
Mrs Samuel told journalists in Port Harcourt today that her late husband was killed by a stray bullet during the protest organised by some aggrieved workers of Julius Berger Construction Company working on the bridge from Ogoni to Bonny Island on September 20th.
She also added that her husband would perhaps still be alive today if the Police had quickly rushed him to the hospital as adviced by people at the scene of the unfortunate incident.
A cousin to late Mr Ajayi, Dominic Buoroh also called on the Rivers State and the Federal Government to come to the aid of the family by ensuring that Julius Berger and the Nigeria Police are made to adequately compensate the family of his late cousin brother.
The Police are yet to respond to the allegations at the time of filing this report.
