The defendant was arraigned on Monday, 20th March 2023 before Justice U.P Kekemeke on a two-count charge bordering on stealing, obtaining pretense, illegal possession of fake documents, and $370,000 internet fraud.

Following the plea of the defendant not guilty on hearing the charge against him, the prosecutor implores the court for a trial date and remand of the defendant.

However, the defense team moved the motion to put the defendant on bail which was accepted by Justice Kekemeke on bailing the defendant with the sum of One Hundred Million Naira (N100, 000,000.00) with two sureties in like sum. One of the sureties must be an owner of a landed property within the jurisdiction of the court.

Thereupon, the judge instructed the remand of the defendant at the Kuje Correctional Facility, pending the fulfillment of his bail conditions while adjourning the matter till May 18, 2023, for trial.
