HUNDREDS OF CUSTOMERS STRANDED AS IMO STATE GOVERNMENT SHUT ALL BANKS IN OWERRI

Reports indicate that hundreds of customers were left stranded as Authorities in Imo State shut all banks in Owerri, the State capital.

Some of the banks that were shut by the Government were Access, Polaris, First Bank, Eco Bank, and United Bank for Africa.

It was gathered that the banks sealed were those who failed to open on Monday, a day set aside in Biafra land to observe the sit-at-home in protest of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra who is being tried at the Federal High court in Abuja by the Federal Government.

However, some of the bank staff told newsmen that the operatives of Owerri Capital Development Authority sealed the banks.

Meanwhile, Eons Intelligence reported earlier today that IPOB declared an emergency sit-at-home on Thursday September 9 to protest the visit of President Buhari to Imo State.
