ISWAP FIGHTERS AMBUSH TROOPS IN BORNO, KILL NIGERIAN ARMY GENERAL
ISWAP fighters on Saturday ambushed troops of the Nigerian Army, killing some of the security personnel including a Brigadier-General, Dzarma Zirkusu.
Sources disclose that four soldiers were killed in the attack which occurred at Bulguma, a few kilometres from Askira town in Askira Uba Local Government Area of BORNO State.
Eons Intelligence gathered that the insurgents stormed the town in a large convoy of gun trucks, and opened fire on a Military Base.
The slain Brigadier General was said to be on his way to support the troops alongside other troops. when he was attacked and killed
During the encounter between the troops and the insurgents, five A-jets, two A-29, two Dragon combat vehicles, and nine gun trucks were destroyed, and several of the assailants were neutralized.
