KAGARA ABDUCTION: NO SUPPORT FROM FG IN RESCUE OF KIDNAPPED STUDENTS- NIGER STATE GOVERNOR
The Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Bello on Thursday claimed the Federal Government is not lending enough support in the rescue of abducted students and staff of the Government Science School, Kagara.
Governor Bello made the accusation in Niger while receiving Senator Orji Kalu, the Chief Whip of the Senate, who was in the state on a commiseration visit.
The Niger State Government said: “At the moment, we do not feel any Federal presence here. The Inspector-General of Police sent us four mobile units but we are to shoulder the financial responsibilities. So, where is the support? There is no support from anyone.

“Yes, we had a delegation (Federal Government delegation) that came to visit and commiserate with us but that was all. So, we are left to ourselves,”
Governor Bello, however, added that his administration is working hard to safely return the captives.
“We have already made a commitment that we will bring back the children safely with or without anyone.”
Bandits on Wednesday, February 17 invaded the Government Science College in Kankara, Niger state and abducted 27 students and 15 staff.

Eons Intelligence reported that Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector-General of Police, deployed special police units to Niger State to aid in the safe rescue of abducted students and staff of the school.
