OGUN STATE POLICE COMMAND DEBUNKS REPORTS THAT THE THREE #ENDSARS PROTESTERS ARRESTED WERE JAILED FOR LIFE
The Ogun State Police Command has debunked reports that the three persons arrested for causing violence during the recent #Endsars protests in the State have been jailed for life.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the State's police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, on Monday, October 12, 2020.
Oyeyemi said that the reports are false and it is a calculated attempt to instigate members of the public against the police.
He revealed that the three persons were amongst those protesters who violently disrupted the annual Owu day celebration at the Olowu’s palace on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

According to the spokesperson, they vandalized public properties and injured a police Sergeant on duty at the palace.
Oyeyemi stated that the three men who caused the disturbance at the Olowu palace were arraigned on Monday at Isabo magistrate court Abeokuta from where they were taken to correctional center pending when their bail conditions will be perfected.
He added that 27 other persons arrested from other parts of the State including the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) office were released by the Command on Sunday, October 11, 2020.
