POLICE ARREST 5 BANDITS, KIDNAPPERS IN BENUE STATE
No fewer than four suspects in connection with banditry and kidnapping in the Sankera axis have been arrested by the operatives of Benue State Police Command.
This was successfully achieved through a follow-up on the clampdown on bandits and their activities in the Sankera axis of Benue State. The tactical operation of "Fullfire" comprising the officers of Operation Zenda JTF trailed and arrested some members of a viscous syndicate.
The apprehended suspects and their gang members specialise in kidnapping, attacking and killing members of the public. The most recent is the gruesome murder of innocent people at Akpuna community on 21/7/2023 in Ukum LGA.
The arrested quadruple suspects are Ordoonku Sunday Kusuv, Msughter Nyieyem, Terkaa Tayough and Liambee Adeadegh, also known as Don-Konyo.
A Nine-round of ammunition were recovered from them.
Similarly, one Sonter Felix Tyozughul was arrested. He was in connection with the kidnap of Dr Asema Msuega, a resident doctor at the Ukum General Hospital, on 23/07/2023, who has been released.
During an interrogation, the suspect confessed to having been actively involved in the crime.
Meanwhile, they are currently in the police custody for further investigation.
