POLICE ARRESTS 15 SUSPECTS TERRORISING IKORODU AND LEKKI, RECOVER ARMS AND AMMUNITION

15 suspects have been arrested by the Police for Ikorodu and Lekki in Lagos State.


The Lagos State police PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the development, revealed that the suspects had been on the run for several weeks.


He said that they have been terrorising Lagosions in Ikorodu and Lekki/Ajah areas of the State.


The suspects were arrested on Monday, December 28, around 4am, after the Lagos State Police Command received a distress call from Agunfoye area of Ikorodu.


The arrested suspects include; (1) segun Ariyo aka Zangalo, who was once arrested and transferred to the disbanded SARS in Lagos, (2) kazeem Akinpelu 'm', (3) Ibrahim Oni 'm', (4) Tobi Awoyefa 'm' , (5) Yusuf Okunlowo 'm' , (6) Oyesanya Damola'm' , (7) Bola Hassan 'm', (8) Toheeb Adesina 'm', (9) Hassan Ashiru 'm', (10) Onafowokan Michael 'm', (11) Folahan Adeola 'f', (12) Damilola Adeola 'f' , and (13) Julius Ihara 'm'. 


Exhibits recovered from the suspects include; eight i-phones, two Techno phones, one Nokia phone, three bags, one black belt, one White handkerchief containing four lighters, one black Nylon containing some local Charms,  some expended and live ammunition, two black 25 litre kegs containing skuchies.


In the same vein, the Police Command attached to the Akodo Division, arrested a 20-year old cultist identified as Lekan Razak.



The suspect was arrested while attempting to rob at No. 25, Ibomide Street, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos


The Police operatives recovered a locally-made pistol with some live cartridge from Razak, who confessed to be a member of the Eiye Confraternity.
