POLICE LAUNCH OPERATION TO RESCUE KIDNAPPED VICTIMS IN ABUJA

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have launched a strategic operation to rescue three persons kidnapped in Abuja. 


The Police Public Relations Officer, Mariam Yusuf, made this known in a statement on Thursday, October 8.


Yusuf said the trio were kidnapped on Tuesday on a farm on the kabi axis in Pegi area of Kuje Area Council, FCT.

The Force spokesperson urged the general public not to panic, assuring them that the Police would rescue the victims and reunite them with their families. 


According to her, the Commissioner of Police in the FCT, Bala Ciroma, had initiated a manhunt to trail and arrest the abductors.

The PPRO, who added that Security is a collective responsibility, called for the continuous support of the public by giving out useful information on suspicious movements in the area for prompt intervention.


She also assured the people that the Police will not relent in discharging its duty to protect lives and property in the FCT.
