POLICE REPEL GUNMEN ATTACK ON POLICE STATION IN BAYELSA
Gunmen suspected to be sea pirates on 26th June 2023 at about 0230hrs attacked and opened fire at the policemen on duty in the divisional police headquarters located at Ogbai town, Ogbia LGA, Bayelsa State.
The police officers on guard quickly called reinforcement to repel the attempt of the assailants from snatching their riffles.
Upon reinforcement of the policemen, the hoodlums fled through the waterways.
Meanwhile, tactical squads, the Marine Police and other security agencies have been alerted. Security operatives are making frantic efforts to identify the perpetrators and arrest them, while the investigation is ongoing.
