RESIDENTS FLEE AS SUSPECTED HERDSMEN MACHETE MAN TO DEATH IN ENUGU COMMUNITY
Suspected herdsmen have killed one man identified as Anike Nwa-Ogbu after they invaded the Ugboanyim-Aniyi community, Amagunze, Nkanu East LGA, Enugu State on 6 February 2023.
Information available indicates that yet-to-be-identified assailants also attacked one Emma Ogbu, a brother to the murdered victim.
The body of Anike Nwa-Ogbu was found on Tuesday 7 February 2023 beside the river where he went fishing with matchet cuts on his body.
The incident has made the community deserted as the residents fled for their safety.
Meanwhile, the police have begun their probe and a manhunt for the assailants.
