TRUCK DRIVERS PROTEST THE KILLING OF THEIR COLLEAGUE BY A SOLDIER OVER N200 BRIBE
Truck drivers on Saturday blocked the road leading to the airport in Port Harcourt, Rivers state in protest against the killing of their colleague by a soldier over N200.
In the videos that have gone viral, the protesting truck drivers said their colleague was killed by armed soldiers on Friday despite knowing that the goods he carried have been cleared and approved by the government.
They also alleged that the soldiers fled the scene after committing the offence.

The aggrieved drivers called on Governor Nyesom Wike for justice, claiming that they would not leave the road until he personally addresses them.
ADVISORY: Army authorities should investigate the allegations of the protesting truck drivers. A board of enquiry into the circumstances that led to the death of the driver should be set up and the accused soldier be arrested pending investigations.
