TWO FEARED DEAD, VEHICLES VANDALIZED AS TWO NURTW FACTIONS CLASH IN AKURE

Two persons were feared dead following a clash between two factions of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Akure, Ondo State capital on Tuesday.

Eons Intelligence gathered that the incident, which began around 8am, was bloody as some commercial drivers were armed with dangerous weapons.

Sources say vehicles were vandalized in the process while traders and commuters scampered for safety amid the clash.

Recall that last week Monday, the Ondo State Government suspended the activities of the Road Transport Employers (RTEAN), and National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
