WOMAN STABS BOYFRIEND FOR TEXTING HER RATHER THAN CALLING TO WISH HER 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY'

A 46-year-old woman, Janet Kearns has been sentenced to six years imprisonment for stabbing her boyfriend, Alan Pearce, because he failed to call rather text her on her birthday in the UK. 


Kearns, the mother of two assumed her boyfriend was not faithful to her. 


It was reported that Kearns went to Pearce's flat and demanded to know why he did not call her. 


While Pearce was trying to explain, the culprit went straight into the kitchen, took a six-inch knife and stabbed him, the report said. 


Kearns left the scene immediately. Pearce had earlier called the police when he noticed his girlfriend was out of control.


Immediately Pearce was rushed to the hospital by police officers and paramedic, where he underwent surgery for wounds he sustained. 


It was reported that the couple met at work in May 2017 then became friends which led to their relationship. 


The presiding Judge, Hilary Manley deduced that the reaction of Kearn was out of jealousy.

"Your relationship with Mr Pearce was marred by jealousy and you attacked him and tried to take his phone. You took a six-inch knife from the kitchen and struck him with it, causing serious injury. You intended to cause him serious harm," the Judge said. 


The Judge hereby sentenced the culprit to six years imprisonment.
