13 BOKO HARAM INSURGENTS SURRENDER TO NIGERIAN MILITARY
Thirteen suspected Boko Haram insurgents from Kodila village have surrendered to the Nigerian military at Banki Junction in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
Alongside the terrorists, 6 women and 17 children also surrendered to the troops.

The surrendered insurgents have been taken to the Special Armored Brigade Medical Centre for medical attention.
The suspects are currently undergoing thorough profiling and investigation in line with global best practices in handling such cases.

This happened the same day the Nigerian Air Force in coordination with the Nigerian Army and regional troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) launched a successfully coordinated intelligence-led aerial strike on Boko Haram insurgents’ hideouts, killed several gunmen in the fringes of the Lake Chad and Borno.
Recall, in July, 47 Boko Haram insurgents surrendered to the MNJTF troops as a result of failed promises, emerging crises among insurgents group leadership and ethnic barriers.
