Candidates who successfully completed their online recruitment registration in the ongoing 2021 recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force are to be screened for physical fitness and credentials, next week.
The exercise is organised by the Force, in conjunction with the Police Service Commission (PSC). It is to hold at designated venues in all 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory from Tuesday, February 1, to Sunday, February 20, 2022.
A statement from the Force Headquarters says all applicants should proceed to their respective States of Origin and appear at the screening centres in clean white T-shirts and shorts. Other requirements include: National Identity Number, Original and duplicate copies of credentials – O’ Level Result(s), Certificate of Origin, Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age, Printout of application submission confirmation/profile page and a duly completed Guarantor’s form.
The Police authorities also adviced applicants to pay attention to specific guidelines and peculiar information on the screening exercise for each State, especially in terms of location and timing. The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba assured all that the "statutory entry Requirements into the Force as clearly stated in the Police Act and Regulations, would be followed to the letter".
He said a total of 135,027 valid applications were received in the online registration exercise. He noted the satisfactory increase in the number and geographic spread of the applications. He said the increase in the South-East and South-South region was a result of the extension of registration period.
He said the exercise is absolutely free of charge. He warned applicants to shun criminals who parade themselves as potential screening influencers. He said anyone caught will be prosecuted.
