THUNDERSTORM KILLS CATTLE IN OSUN STATE
Thunderstorms have killed about seven cows belonging to a Fulani herder identified as Alhaji Abdullahi in Elepo village, Ifon, Osun State.
The incident happened today, July 7th, 2020, during an early morning rain that threw the village and its residents into panic.
Alhaji Sulaimon Oloruntoyin, Seriki Fulani in Osun State, confirmed the incident.
The cows were said to have been grazing in a place in the village when a loud deafening noise was heard around where the animals were kept.
Seven of them were found dead after the incident.
A resident of Ifon identified as Alao Saheed told newsmen that it was the first time such an incident would occur in the town.
Saheed called on relevant Government agencies to intervene and evacuate the dead animals to prevent the outbreak of an epidemic.
