ALL VEHICLES THAT VIOLATE LOCKDOWN DIRECTIVES WILL BE IMPOUNDED AND AUCTIONED- GOVERNOR WIKE

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has warned that all vehicles caught violating the lockdown directives in the state will be impounded and auctioned to the members of the public. 


Governor Wike on Monday, May 4 announced a total lockdown and dusk to dawn curfew on Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor local government areas to curtail the spread of the Coronavirus in the state. 


“The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice has been directed to auction all the vehicles that violated the lockdown order,” Paul Nsirim, the Commissioner for Information and Communication, said in a statement on Thursday, May 7.


He also told members of the public interested in buying the cars to watch out for Adverts in the dailies.
