ANAMBRA LAWMAKER BEHEADING SUSPECT ARRESTED.
A suspect responsible for the beheading of Anambra Lawmaker representing Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Constituency Okechukwu Okoye is now in Police custody. The arrest was made on Sunday, May 29th at Ebenator - Udene Village, Amichi in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The man whose name was given as Nnamdi Michael was said to be a leader of the high profile terrorist group referred to as the “Unknown Gunmen”.
The suspect admitted that they were behind the killing of some politicians including the beheading of the lawmaker.
“We first of all strip them naked so they can say the truth”, he said.
His accomplice said to be a native doctor is still at large, but it was gathered that his shrine was destroyed.
The State Police Public Relations Officer however declined to confirm the arrest but hinted that the investigation is still ongoing.
Recall Okoye, the Lawmaker representing the constituency of Governor Charles Soludo, was kidnapped on Sunday, May 15, 2022, alongside his aide, Cyril Chiegbok.
