ANGRY YOUTHS RAZE DOWN KIDNAPPERS’ HOUSES IN KANO
Operatives of Kano state Police command arrested suspects over the alleged kidnapping and killing of a five-year-old boy after negotiated Five Million Naira (N 5,000,000) was paid in Yantai Village - Doguwa LGA of Kano State on Tuesday 2 November 2022.
Available report indicates that On 28 October 2022 at about 1700 hours, a report was received from a resident of Doguwa LGA, Kano State, that his five-year-old son, Hamza Harisu was kidnapped and a ransom of Twenty Million Naira (N20,000,000:00) was demanded by the kidnapper(s) and later, negotiated at Five Million Naira (N5,000,000.00).
Due to the sustained efforts, a 29-year-old primary suspect, Ado Ibrahim was arrested at his hideout with three other suspects.
The suspect confessed that he singlehandedly kidnapped the victim on 27 Oct at about 1900hrs when it was dark and strangled him to death.
The victim’s corpse was later discovered and deposited at Doguwa General Hospital. As the news spread in the community, some angry youth went for reprisal and subsequently set ablaze houses of the arrested suspects already at the State Criminal Investigation Department(SCID) for Investigation.
