BABCOCK UNIVERSITY BEGINS RESEARCH FOR COVID-19 REMEDY

Babcock University, Ogun State, has commenced research for the covid-19 remedy, the Institution’s Vice-Chancellor has said.


Prof Ademola Tayo, Vice-Chancellor of Babcock University, says the institution has put together a team of researchers to find the treatment for the dreadful virus.


Mr. Joshua Suleiman, the Director of Marketing and Communications, Babcock University, disclosed this information to newsmen.


According to the vice-chancellor, the team has submitted research proposals on COVID-19 to relevant Government Institutions for sponsorship and is waiting for approval. 


“Babcock University has put together a team of researchers to find a cure to the raging coronavirus pandemic. 


“Our faculties in the departments of public health and agriculture, who are currently researching on COVID-19 have submitted research proposals on it to the Nigerian Institute of Animal Science for sponsorship.


“We also do hope that private universities will be eligible for the Federal Government’s 


Nigeria’s coronavirus cases rose beyond 8,000 as the NCDC confirmed 229 more infections yesterday.


Total infections in Nigeria are now 8,068 and the active patients who are on admission are 5,524. The covid-19 death toll has also risen from 226 to 233.
