BANDITS KILL SEVEN POLICE, OTHERS IN FRESH ZAMFARA VILLAGE ATTACK
No fewer than twelve people including seven police officers have been killed by bandits following their invasion at Magarya village, Zurmi LGA, Zamfara State.
The information available indicates that the bandits on the 6th June 2024 at about 05:10hrs stormed the community on motorbikes, targeted the location of the police operatives and opened fire on them which resulted in the death of seven police operatives while some had gunshot injuries. However, the bandits also killed a member of the Zamfara State Community Guards and four other villagers.
However, other residents fled into the bush for safety during the heinous operation which caused the reduction in death rate as the bandits conducted house-to-house raids in search of the people to kill. They also burnt two houses and a car and rustled some livestock belonging to the villagers.
Meanwhile, the police have intensified their operation to curb future attacks on the security operatives and the civilians in the village.
