BREAKING: 22 MORE COVID-19 PATIENTS DISCHARGED FROM ISOLATION CENTRES IN SOKOTO

Twenty-two more patients have been discharged from isolation centres in Sokoto following their full recovery from COVID-19.

This was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Health and Chairman of Task Force on COVID-19, Muhammad Inname on Tuesday, May 12.

Inname said the development is the highest discharge the state has made.

He said, “This brings to 41 the total number of COVID-19 patients, out of 176 cases, so far discharged by the Task Force.”

“This development shows that many of those infected by the disease do recover and go about their normal activities.

“Contact tracing is ongoing. We have identified 844 contacts, tested 436 suspected cases and certified that 176 cases are positive,” the commissioner explained.

The State Government urged residents not to stigmatize COVID-19 victims as it is not a death sentence.
