BREAKING: KIDNAPPED OYO LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN, DRIVER REGAIN FREEDOM

Chairman of Iganna Local Council Development of Oyo State, Olayiwola Adeleke and his driver have regained freedom after six days in captivity.


In the incident that happened on Sunday, October 25, the duo were kidnapped by gunmen along the Okeho-Ado Awaye Road, Ibadan, while on their way to meet with the State Governor, Seyi Makinde, Eons Intelligence earlier reported.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the release on Saturday morning.


He said, “They have been released and they have reunited with their families. They were freed on Friday night.”


The Commissioner of Police in the State, Chucks Enwonwu, had on Wednesday said the police were making efforts to rescue them.
