BREAKING: OSUN RECORDS THIRD COVID-19 DEATH
Osun State Government has announced the death of another COVID-19 patient, bringing total deaths in the state to three.
In a statement signed by the State's Commissioner for Health, Dr Rafiu Isamotu, the deceased in her late 60s passed on at the isolation centre at the General Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo.
Isamotu urged frontline health workers to always use their Personal Protective Equipment when discharging their duties. He emphasized that only accredited isolation and treatment centres in the state are allowed to attend to suspected COVID-19 patients.
The health workers who had earlier tested positive to COVID-19 in the state have been discharged after they tested negative.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, on May 1, Osun has recorded 34 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
