White House press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany has tested positive for coronavirus.
The development makes her become to latest official connected to the White House to contract the infection.
McEnamy disclosed this on Monday, October 5, via her twitter handle.
“After testing negative consistently, including every day since Thursday, I tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday morning while experiencing no symptoms,” she tweeted.

McEnany said she did not know that senior Trump’s aide, Hope Hicks had tested positive for the virus before she held a press briefing on Thursday without a mask.
The press secretary on Thursday briefed reporters, hours before President Donald Trump announced that he and his wife have tested positive.
On Friday, she appeared on Fox News and removed her mask to speak with reporters on the White House driveway. She spoke with reporters again on Sunday night and did not wear a mask.
President Donald Trump is currently at Walter Reed Medical Centre where is he receiving treatment, while his wife, Melania is in the white house observing her 14 days quarantine, to avoid infecting others.
