CATHOLIC BISHOP CHASE WORSHIPPERS NOT WEARING FACE MASKS IN ENUGU

The Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga, on Sunday chased out worshippers who were not wearing face masks at the Holy Mass to commemorate the 2020 World Communications Day at the Holy Ghost Cathedral.

Onaga was embittered at residents of Enugu who chose not to wear face masks, violating the measures put in place to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic that had killed 336,430 people all over the world.

The Bishop admonished media men to use their platforms to sensitise people on the dangers associated with the non-observance of both the WHO and the NCDC protocols on the containment of the virus in the country.

According to the NCDC, Enugu has recorded 18 cases of COVID-19.

Of the 18 cases, 12 are active and ate on admission. 6 discharges have been made and no death has been recorded.
