CORPSES OF SOLDIER, CIVILIAN RECOVERED DURING SEARCH FOR ABDUCTED INDIANS IN OYO
Operatives of the Oyo State police command have recovered the corpses of a soldier and a civilian during their search for two Indians abducted in the State last week.
According to a statement released by the Police spokesman in the State, Olugbenga Fadeyi, the corpses were recovered on Sunday, December 13.
The statement read: “On 13/12/2020, two corpses of one soldier and a civilian were discovered from the forest while a civil defence personnel also sustained gunshot injury after a search in the forest.”

According to the police spokesman the two Indians were kidnapped around 4 pm on Wednesday, December 9, at a pharmaceutical firm near Toll Gate on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The victims were said to be driving out of the company’s premises when the kidnappers, who were trailing them, opened fire on their vehicle’s tyres which forced the vehicles to a halt.
Fadeyi urged members of the expatriate community in the State to be vigilant during the Christmas and New Year festive period.
“It is worthy of note that movement of these foreign nationals most of the time are not known to the Police authority in the state to enable professional advice to be given appropriately.

“Also, negotiations with the captors are also concealed from the Police. Meanwhile, effort intensified to arrest the hoodlums and also rescue the abductor.
“Well-meaning and good people of Oyo State with useful and credible information as to the whereabouts of the captors/abductor should furnish the Police in Oyo State for rescue operation to be carried out immediately, please.”
Several cases of abduction and killing involving foreigners have in reported lately in Nigeria, especially in the South West region.

Recall, Eons Intelligence earlier reported that unknown gunmen on Friday, November 27, abducted a Chinese National in Ekiti State and shot dead a police officer in the process.
Police in Ekiti State however confirmed the realease of abducted Chinese Engineer on December 1, after spending five days in captivity.
Similarly, four Chinese nationals in a construction company in Cross River State, were abducted on Tuesday, July 21, at Danatrite Construction Company in Oban, in the Akamkpa Local Government Area of the State.
