  		'post_content' => '<p>Amid rising cases of coronavirus infections, there are strong indications that the Federal Government will impose fresh lockdown on major States like Lagos, Kaduna, Abuja, and Plateau anytime soon.</p><p><br></p><p>This was revealed by Dr. Mukhtar Muhammad, National Incident Manager of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 on Friday, 29th January 2021.</p><p><br></p><p>Dr. Muhammad who was a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily stated that the rate at which the infections are rising in these affected States are alarming and needs to be checked.</p><p><br></p><p>Muhammed disclosed that after discreet analysis urban local government areas in Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna and Plateau States have continued to record an increase in new infections.</p><p><br></p><h2>Read Also: <a href="https://eonsintelligence.com/details/1551393369/covid-19-second-wave-fg-extends-work-from-home-order-for-gl12-employees-others-528227823" target="_blank" style="color: rgb(156, 156, 156);">COVID 19 SECOND WAVE: FG EXTENDS WORK FROM HOME ORDER FOR GL12 EMPLOYEES, OTHERS</a></h2><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Muhammed, however, made it clear that even if a lockdown is imposed in these states, it will not be total, so as not to completely shut down economic activities.</p><p><br></p><p>“The urban areas are the most affected and that is why we have these superspreaders and that is where we are going to target. We have analysed that and we are advising the states based on the data that these are the focused areas where these transmissions are more than the others," he said.</p><p><br></p><p>According to data by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, as at 28th January 2021, Lagos State has recorded 47,471 cases, Abuja (16,470), Plateau (7,801) and Kaduna 7,512 ranking the top four most affected States in the nation.</p><p><br></p><p>Speaking on the provision of vaccines, Muhammed said the federal Government is doing all it can to ensure that the COVID-19 vaccines arrive in Nigeria before the end of the first quarter.</p><p><br></p><p>He further stated that the government is looking at making sure that at least 70 to 80 percent of Nigerians get vaccinated.</p><p><br></p><p><a href="https://mobile.twitter.com/eonsintelligenc?s=11https://twitter.com/eonsintelligenc?s=11" target="_blank" style="color: rgb(17, 85, 204); background-color: transparent;">Follow us on Twitter and get the most exclusive of news as it breaks.&nbsp;</a></p><p><br></p>',
