'CRIMINAL ELEMENTS' ARE THREATENING MILITARY OFFICERS WITH TRAVEL BAN - CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF, TUKUR BURATAI

Nigeria's chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, has said 'criminal elements' in the country are threatening military officers with travel ban.

Recall that Eons Intelligence had earlier reported that Buratai was meeting with several Army Commanders in Abuja over the security crisis rocking the nation.

Buratai, addressing newsmen after the meeting, accused some international organisations of threatening military officers with travel ban over alleged violations of human rights.

He said; “Criminal elements are threatening us with travel ban but we are not worried because we must remain in this country to make it better.

“The first time I travelled outside of this country, I was already 50 years and a General, so I don’t mind if I live the rest of my life here.”

The army chief said they will not allow any agent in or outside Nigeria to set the country on fire.

The army has come under intense criticism from Nigerians after military men opened fire on #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki tollgate last Tuesday, October 20.

Nigerians all over the globe took to the streets and the media to protest against the exploitation, harassment, extra judicial killings, and extortion from operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
