SECURITY BREACH AT MILITARY FACILITY IN KATSINA AS ARMED BANDITS LAUNCH COORDINATED ATTACK
In a troubling incident, a coalition of armed bandit groups, wielding dangerous weapons, including AK-47 rifles, recently initiated an attack on a collaborative military base situated in Nahuta village, Batsari LGA, Katsina State.
Reports indicates that on January 14th, 2024, at about 23:30hrs, a significant number of assailants infiltrated the joint military camp, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Vehicles and valuable assets were set ablaze before the intruders were ultimately repelled by vigilant camp operatives.
Exploiting the chaos, the criminals took advantage of the situation to infiltrate Nahuta town. In a spree of lawlessness, they looted shops, vandalized residences, and made off with properties and domestic animals, collectively valued at millions of naira. Authorities are actively investigating this audacious act of criminality.
