DJOKOVIC TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

Novak Djokovic, the men’s world number one tennis player, has tested positive for COVID-19.


The Serbian disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.


“Novak Djokovic tested positive for a virus, COVID-19,” the statement read. 


It was reported that some players had earlier tested positive for coronavirus after playing in Djokovic’s Adria Tour exhibition tournament in the Balkan region


Some of the players were: Borna Coric of Croatia, Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria, and Viktor Troicki of Serbia, reports say.

Djokovic is the fourth player to test positive for the virus after playing in those exhibitions.

Meanwhile, the statement noted that the tennis player is not showing any symptoms (asymptomatic).

Also, Dimitrov’s coach, Chris Gro, and Djokovic’s fitness coach, Marko Paniki, all of them have tested positive for coronavirus.
