EFCC UNDER FIRE: BUHARI SUSPENDS SECRETARY, 10 OTHER SENIOR OFFICIALS
President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the EFCC executive Secretary, Olanipekun Olukoyede and 10 other top officials of the commission.
Reports say that the decision of the presidency is based on the ongoing investigation concerning the embattled former EFCC acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu.
"They were suspended for various alleged criminal and corrupt infractions.
All the top officials in the agency have been suspended, their offices locked, to prevent any tampering with the files at the commission," the report added.
This is coming barely a week after the newly appointed acting Chairman of the commission, Mohammed Umar ordered all zonal and unit heads of the EFCC to submit their handover notes with immediate effect.
