#ENDSARS: LAGOS STATE POLICE COMMAND ARRESTS FEMALE DRIVER WHO CAUSED FATAL ACCIDENT IN ALAGBADO

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a female driver identified as Mrs Nike Lawal for causing an accident which occurred at Ikola Road, Alagbado area of Lagos, on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.


Mrs Lawal, 30, was arrested for reckless driving which led to the death of 2 innocent Nigerians in Alagbado.


Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Lagos State police PRO, in a statement, on Thursday, October 15, said Mrs Lawal, who drove a Toyota 4Runner SUV with REG. NO. GGE 346 BK, rammed into a tricycle and killed the two victims; Ojo Azeez, 27; Yusuf Sodia, 26, at command road, Alagbado, Lagos State.

He disclosed that the suspect who is an #ENDSARS protester, deliberately removed the number plates on her SUV, as at the time of the incident, after which she joined her fellow protesters at AIT junction and started driving recklessly.


The Police PRO stated that the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has commiserated with the families of the deceased, and assured them of the command's commitment to having justice in the case.


Similarly, on Wednesday, October 14, Eons Intelligence reported that the Lagos State Police Command arrested 4 policemen who were caught in a viral video assaulting a young lady at the scene of the #ENDSARS protest in Surulere on Monday.


The arrested policemen include:


1. INSP BAGOU MICHAEL 

2. INSP EKPOUDOM ETOP

3. SGT NNAMDI MAJURA

4. SGT AKINYEMI BENSON 


CP Odumosu also ordered for the arrest of the policeman who slapped an aged mother in another viral video at the #ENDSARS protest in Surulere.


The Commissioner reiterated his zero tolerance for inappropriate conducts amongst police personnel.
