#ENDSARS: NOBODY REMOVED THE CCTV CAMERA AT LEKKI TOLL GATE - GOVERNOR BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu, has said that the security cameras at Lekki Toll gate were not removed during the shooting of unarmed protesters by armed military men on Tuesday, October 20.

In recent days, the #ENDSARS protest has sparked violence in most parts of Lagos like Yaba, Iganmu, Alausa, Mushin, Tin-Can, and Lekki.

Few hours before the shooting from the military men which claimed the lives of about 15 persons, images emerged of a staff in the uniform of Lekki Concession Company Limited, removing some cameras from the toll gate.

The Governor, in an interview with ARISE TV, on Thursday, October 22, responded and said no one removed the security cameras.

He said he has seen footages from the cameras and they will be made available to the judicial panel and the public very soon.

“Nobody removed the security cameras at Lekki Toll gate. They are intact,” he said.

Many Nigerians have taken to social media to accuse Bola Tinubu, a National Leader of the All Progressives Congress and former Lagos State Governor, of being the mastermind behind the military deployment as an attempt to disperse protesters and secure his Investment at the Lekki Toll gate.
