FAYEMI REWARDS FATHER WHO REFUSED TO ACCOMMODATE SON AFTER VIOLATING LOCKDOWN ORDER (VIDEO)

Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, has rewarded the father who refused to house his son, who violated lockdown order in Ekiti State.

Governor Kayode Fayemi, today appointed Mr. Femi Adeoye, as a COVID-19 Response Ambassador in Ekiti State.

Mr. Femi Adeoye, a retired Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), is the father seen in a viral video rejecting his son identified as Babafemi Adeoye for sneaking into the state despite lockdown restrictions.

"Today, I appointed Mr. Adeoye, father of the young man who sneaked into Ekiti State, as a COVID-19 Response Ambassador in Ekiti State. I am proud of Mr. Adeoye as a principled Ekiti man and I salute his courage in helping us keep Ekiti safe," the Governor said.

Babafemi travelled from Lagos, the epicenter of the Coronavirus, to Ekiti state. His father refused to accommodate him because he flouted the lockdown order in the state.

Babafemi claimed to have bribed his way from Lagos to Ekiti by improvising and travelling with different buses.

Mr. Adeoye refused to cover up for his son. In the video, he stated that he instructed his son not to travel so that he does not expose himself to the Coronavirus.

Unfortunately, his son disobeyed him.

The disappointed father emphasized that he will not take his son home because his house had no space where his son could isolate himself.

He, therefore, left him with security personnel urging the authorities to take charge and keep his son under close observation.

Fayemi received Mr. Adeoye in his office and commended him for his disciplinary posture and determination to war against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recall that a COVID-19 infected pregnant woman sneaked recently sneaked to Ekiti from Lagos.
