FCT POLICE COMMISSIONER FLAGS OFF 2ND PHASE OF G7JOINT SECURITY OPERATION, CHARGES TROOPS TO REMAIN RESOLUTE IN SECURING ABUJA

In continuation of efforts to ensure adequate and effective security of the Federal Capital Territory and its environs, the Commissioner of Police FCT Command, CP CP Sunday Babaji has charged troops of G7 Joint Security Operations to ensure that law-abiding citizens within the Federal Capital and its environs are secured throughout this festive period and beyond while making sure that FCT becomes hell for criminals hibernating in the communities.

The Commissioner of Police gave the charge while flagging off the second phase of G7Joint Security Operations for the FCT which is expected to cover parts of north central states of Kogi, Niger, Nasarawa, Benue as well as part of Plateau and Kwara state.

The flagging-off ceremony held at Guards Brigade Forward Operations Base, Kwali Area Council today 14 December 2022 is aimed at ensuring that troops drawn from the various agencies remain more resolute in addressing the lingering security challenges bedeviling the country, especially during the festive season and as the 2023 general election draws closer.


CP Sunday Babaji while appreciating the Service Chiefs further expressed gratitude to the Commander Guards Brigade Brig Gen Muhammed Takuti Usman who he said has been responsible for creating the needed platforms for the effective security and defence of the FCT.


He further persuaded the troops to deal decisively with any criminal or group of criminals who may want to disturb the peace currently being enjoyed., While warning all criminal elements to stay clear as the operation would make it unbearable for them.
