FORMER VICE-PRESIDENT, ATIKU ABUBAKAR RECEIVES PFIZER COVID-19 VACCINE IN DUBAI
Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in Dubai.
Thus was made known in a statement on Thursday by his media aide, Paul Ibe.
Ibe said the former Presidential candidate received the jab in Dubai, on Wednesday, January 6.
“The importance of the #COVID19 vaccine in mitigating the effect of the coronavirus cannot be overstated, particularly in Africa and Nigeria. Yesterday (Wednesday), as part of the mass vaccination programme, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

“He is anxiously looking forward to when Nigerians, especially medical professionals in the frontline and the most vulnerable will be vaccinated in the country.”
On November 9, Pfizer said it's COVID-19 vaccine was 90% effective against the COVID-19 disease.
The United Kingdom (UK), United States (US), and several other countries have received their first batch of the jab amid growing concerns of a new COVID-19 viral strain.
On Sunday, Nigeria's Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 announced Nigeria would receive its consignment of the dose at the end of January.
