FOUR KILLED AS UNKNOWN GUNMEN ATTACK POLICE DIVISIONAL HEADQUARTERS IN ORLU LGA OF IMO STATE
Eons Intelligence have gathered that gunmen on Thursday night attacked the Divisional Police Headquarters in the Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.
This attack comes barely one week after unknown gunmen attacked a police facility in Njaba area of Imo State.
The incident happened around 11.35pm on Thursday night with the assailants and the security themselves in an intense gun battle.
Eons Intelligence gathered that some parts of the police Division were set ablaze while cars parked in the premises were not spared.
The assailants, in their numbers, attacked and threw explosives and petrol bombs on top of the roof of the Police station, damaging the roof and causing a fire outbreak in the station which spread and affected some of the vehicles parked at the parking lot.
During the encounter, a Police Inspector was killed, three of the attackers also lost their lives while others suffered gunshot wounds.
Ammunition recovered include; one pump action gun, and two locally-made double-barrel pistols.
