GOVERNOR MAKINDE DEMANDS RE-ARREST OF IBADAN SERIAL KILLER

Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has demanded that security operatives must re-arrest Sunday Shodipe, the Ibadan Serial Killer.


Recall that Eons Intelligence reported that the serial killer escaped from police custody on Tuesday, August 11th, 2020, after being arrested on July 18th, 2020.


Special Adviser on Security to Governor Makinde, Mr Fatai Owoseni (retd), made this known in a statement at a Town Hall meeting held at Akinyele Local Government on Tuesday, August 18th, 2020.


Governor Makinde said Shodipe’s re-arrest must be made a top priority for security operatives in the State.


He reiterated that his administration places a premium on the security of lives and properties in the state, urging residents of the area to remain calm and not take laws into their own hands.


Makinde, who maintained that he shared the pains of the people of Akinyele over the incessant killings in the Local Government, said the people must continue to cooperate with law enforcement officials to lawfully bring about an end to the menace in the area.


The Governor added that the police would need the cooperation of the people to be able to succeed in putting an end to the incessant killings and crime in the community.


Shodipe Sunday is the notorious serial killer alleged to be involved in a series of murders in Akinyele Local Government Area of the State.


The victims of the serial killings include 18-year old Barakat Bello; a pregnant woman, Azeezat Shomuyiwa; a 21-year old student, Grace Oshiagwu, Olusayo Fagbemi, and a 5-year old boy identified as Mujeeb.
