GUNMEN ABDUCT EX-FCE PROVOST, DRIVER IN OGUN
Gunmen on 25th July 2023 kidnapped the immediate past Provost of Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta, Dr Ayodele Adetayo Ajayi at Ikija village, Olodo axis of the Abeokuta-Ibadan road, Odeda LGA, Ogun State.
The information available indicates that the gunmen came out of the bush in their number, blocked the road and started shooting sporadically to scare their victims.
During the evil operation, Ajayi and his wife alongside the driver were whisked into the bush around 1917hrs including other victims.
The abductors later released Ajayi’s wife while he and his driver were taken away.
Meanwhile, the police are on track to rescue the victims and arrest their abductors.
