GUNMEN ATTACK SCHOOL, KILL NEWLY-WEDDED COUPLE IN PLATEAU STATE
Gunmen on 14th August 2023 attacked BECO Comprehensive High School at about 1500hrs and killed a newly-wedded couple, both of whom are teachers at the school in Kwi, Riyom LGA, Plateau State.
The information available indicates that the gunmen invaded the school and met the teachers where they were holding a meeting to compile the results of students in preparation for the school’s 2023 Speech and Prize-Giving Day slated for this Friday. And without any further ado, they killed the couple identified as Mr. and Mrs. Rwang Danladi, who were also teaching in the school, then injured the Vice-Principal identified as Mr. Dalyop Emmanuel.
The wounded victim has been taken to Jos University Teaching Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, police operatives have been deployed to the community to forestall further attacks.
